I was called by Jen the Thursday before Christmas to see if I was available to help her out with a gift she and Kris wanted to give to their moms. I more than happily obliged and we began to try and work something out. So on Christmas Eve afternoon, we headed out to Downtown Reedley to try and do the quickest shoot possible (before all the stores closed or they wouldn’t be able to get these printed).

The shoot took about 2 hours and then it was home for me to race against the clock to get these edited and onto a cd for them. Sure enough, we got them printed just in the nick of time, they didn’t even have time to see the finished product until they were ordering them at Walgreens haha. But they loved them and both sets of parents loved them. Merry Christmas indeed :D

(also, do you know how hard it is to photoshop ugly fixtures out of brick buildings and tiles out of cement? HARD)

Last weekend, I had the privilege of taking photos of the Rios Family for their Christmas card. Their boys are just too cute, I take care of them at daycare so it made it more than easy for them to be comfortable around me, so much so, that in the picture with the 2 boys in focus, you can tell that the older brother is holding on to the younger one because he was just bouncing off the walls.

These were taken out at their home in the country on a beautiful early Sunday morning. They were such a joy to capture.

Today, I had the honor of taking Christmas pictures of my coworker Dalena’s family. We trekked over to Hillcrest Christmas tree farm just outside of Reedley and had a fun time. Most of the time was spent trying to get the little one to look at the camera, but when she did, those little glossy eyes made it worth it haha. Stay on the lookout for the finished pictures.

Yesterday morning we did a spur of the moment shoot for Abuel in the Golden Age. I met Mary this summer. We were both characters in the play Into the Woods. I had asked her early on if she would ever be interested in modeling some clothes for me to which she happily agreed.

So this past week, just as my vintage rack ran out of room, my only decision was to get these clothes sold asap (to make room for more vintage of course) So I contacted Mary and we headed out to the pastures and hills just past Orosi. The sun was perfect, the color of the grass was perfect, and the weather was perfect. My friend Leslie assisted me with makeup, styling, and making sure I didn’t loose me car keys, even when we had to hike all the way back up the steep hill we managed to meander down (it takes a huge hill to make you realize just how out of shape you are).

It was a pleasant Saturday

I took pictures of Lizz today. She’s a senior at Dinuba High this year and so these were her senior portraits I guess you could say. I had only known Lizz through mutual friends so today was the first time I had met her. Her mom and her showed up at my house this afternoon and we hit it off really quick. She laid all her outfits on my couch and picked from the accessories wall in my room and we tried to match locations to them. It’s corn season here in the Central Valley so we took some in the fields, downtown Dinuba, and at the carnival since today was the last day and she still had tickets for rides haha. The weather was perfect today, not too much wind, not too hot, everything was just right, which means fall has reached us. Her mom and her made the day fun. I’m excited to edit the rest of these!

I’ve been trying to finish editing these. My brother Saul and his wife Kendra had me take their family photos. I was more than honored, just look at those cuties they call their kids. Although, taking pictures of toddlers proves to be more difficult than it looks.

Aren’t they adorable!!! Now there were a couple that I liked that my brother wasn’t too fond of, but they are too cute not to share. And what’s a family photo shoot without outtakes of impatient children.

I’m pretty sure on this next picture, I had told them to keep looking at me no matter what, I’ll keep snapping until the kids calm down. Obviously, it didn’t happen.

And this last one, is my absolute favorite. We were trying to recreate a picture we found on google and the second they all laid down on the ground, they all (except Kendra) complained it was too bright, on an overly overcast day in Katy, TX. Oh brother! But I think it’s still worthy of hanging above a mantle
